FAQ
General information on the Jelbi budget.
Can I understand the budget as a monthly credit?
Yes, the mobility budget is to be understood as a credit that can be used as a means of payment for all mobility services offered in the Jelbi app.
What happens to unused credit?
Unused credit expires at the end of the month and is not carried over to the following month.
What happens if a journey exceeds the budget?
If a trip exceeds the budget, the difference is debited from the private means of payment that was previously deposited.
Are individual trips billed separately?
Yes, from the employee’s point of view, each trip is billed individually and charged against the available mobility budget. From the employer’s point of view, employees are billed for the budget used on a monthly basis.
Can the Deutschlandticket be integrated into the budget?
At the moment, you can only display the Deutschlandticket via the Jelbi app. It is not yet possible to purchase season tickets, but this will be integrated in the future.

Who can I contact if the amount of my mobility budget has changed or is no longer available?
The mobility budget is allocated and managed by your employer. Please contact your employer if you have any questions about the amount or availability of your budget.
For employers
Can the employer adjust the budgets at short notice?
Employers can adjust the budgets at any time with immediate effect in the mobility budget portal provided.
Is there a way to split the budget between private and business trips?
Employees can select the reason for the trip in the app when they start their journey. At the end of the month, you can have a report created about which trips served which purpose. Separating the budget is currently not possible but it is on our development plan.
Is it possible to exclude individual mobility providers from booking with the mobility budget?
Blocking individual providers is not possible because we as a platform are not allowed to discriminate against any of our mobility service providers.
Is it possible to switch between a B2B and B2C account in the app so that business trips are billed using the company billing address?
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to store a second billing address in a Jelbi account. We have recognized the need and are currently working on a technical solution.
How can employers register and set mobility budgets for their employees?
It is currently not possible to create a company account completely independently. After the contract has been concluded, we provide the required mobility budget portal, which can then be used to manage employees and budgets.
Can I also use the mobility budget in Brandenburg?
At the moment, the mobility budget can be redeemed for sharing services within Berlin and Potsdam and for public transport tickets from the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association (VBB).
